<p>PURPOSE:To decrease load on a calling terminal side at the time of setting a call by setting a subscriber's terminal number independently of a subscriber's line number at each terminal equipment, and identifying a subscriber's terminal number by the station that contains the terminal, a packet multiplexer, etc. CONSTITUTION:A caller's terminal 1 inserts the subscriber's terminal number of a callee's terminal 2 that is its destination of communication such as '1234567' in the callee subscriber's line number field of a call capacket, and transmit the packet to the station 3 that contains the terminal 1 itself. The station 3 retrieves the callee subscriber's terminal number '1234567' from a table or inquire said number to a net management center, and obtains the subscriber's line number '9876543' of the target destination. Thus obtained callee subscriber's line number is added to a call packet, and transmitted to a station 4 that contains the callee terminal, the station 4 being identified by means of the callee subscriber's line number. The station 4 identifies the callee subscriber's line number from among the added information in the packet, and transmits the incoming call packet excepting said added information to the target terminal. Thereafter, a call is set up in similar procedures. By providing a subscriber's terminal number independently of a subscriber's line number in such a way, a load of re-setting, re-registration, etc., of address necessary on a caller terminal in case of moving of a callee terminal can be relieved.</p> |
