PURPOSE:To achieve the enhancement in creep resistance, by mixing carbon fiber into the mixture of polytetrafluoroethylene (hereinafter called 'PTFE') and the polymer of tetrafluoroethylene and parfluoroalkylvinylether. CONSTITUTION:In the valve seat material, carbon fiber of more than 5% and less than 25% by weight is mixed into the mixture of PTFE superior in abrasion resistance, chemical resistance, heat resistance, or the like, and the copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene especially superior in creep resistance and parfluoroalkylvinylether. Thus, the above seat material is, of course, superior in creep resistance for a wide temperature range, and further is superior in abrasion resistance, and static electricity preventing effect can be also produced.
