PURPOSE:To obtain a refrigerator controller with high reliability, by judging the occurrence of breakdown of a set value at the time of starting up a microcomputer initially, and setting the set value at a factory delivery value when it is broken down. CONSTITUTION:The refrigerator controller is constituted of the microcomputer 14 incorporating a start up judging means 2, a factory delivery value setting means 3, and a set value storage means 6, and a microcomputer runaway detecting means 1 provided outside. By constituting a device in such a way, a processing program such as whether the value of an area to preserve and judge data is normal, whether the values of two pairs of set data storage areas are equal, or whether the value of the set data storage area is within that of a setting range, is formed by the means 2, and the program such as the one to set each set value at the factory delivery value, or the one to display the setting of the set value at the factory delivery value, is formed by the means 3. The program is set in such a way, and when the computer 14 runs away, each set value is changed to the factory delivery value by using the means 6 in which a fixed data for preserving and judging the data is stored.
