PURPOSE:To obtain a non-contact bearing which is simple in constitution and has high stability by mounting a permanent magnet on a supported portion of a rotor and providing magnetizing means repulsing the magnetic force of the permanent magnet on a fixed support portion of the rotor. CONSTITUTION:A permanent magnet 3 is fixed to a supported portion 2 of a rotor 1, and a cylindrical magnetizing portion 2a is formed in such a manner to be N-pole on one side and S-pole on the other side. A magnetizing means 5 forms a magnetizing portion 4a in such a manner that magnetic poles of the same polarity confront with each other with respect to the magnetizing portion 2a through an air gap 6. The magnetizing means 5 is fixed to the fixed support portion 4. Whereupon magnetic repulsing force is produced between the magnetizing portions 2a and 4a, so that if the magnetizing force of the magnetizing means 5 is suitably adjusted for the magnetizing force of the perma nent magnet 3, the rotor 1 can be stably supported out of contact by the fixed support portion 4.
