PURPOSE:To improve heat absorbing efficiency in a combustor, by dividing a gas circulative path, provided in the combustor of the captioned engine, by a partitioning wall into two parts and forming one end of each divided gas circulative path to communicate with each other and the other end to respectively communicate with expansion space and a regenerator. CONSTITUTION:In a Stirling engine, formed by connecting a heater 30, regenerator 40 and a cooler 50 successively in series to a plurality (for instance, five) of piston cylinders 20 arranged in a concentric circumferential state, the heater 30 is vertically provided in every several quantity (for instance, three) in five manifolds arranged on a concentric circumference outside each cylinder 20. Each heater 30, constituted of an outer cylinder 31 and an inner cylinder 32 positioned providing a predetermined space serving for a gas circulative path 33, respectively connects one path (33a) of the gas circulative paths 33a, 33b, partitioned by a partitioning wall 37 in the gas circulative path 33, to expansion space in the cylinder 20 through a connection pipe 60 while the other path (33b) to a gas circulative path 81 of the manifold 80.
