PURPOSE:To obtain a sap-containing solvent useful as a Japanese herb medicine, by immersing bark collected from a tree having pharmaceutical action in a solvent and then eluting sap of the bark. CONSTITUTION:Bark obtain from a tree (Fagara ailanthides Engl., Kalopanax septemlobus Koidz, Cucurbita moschata Duch. var. melonaeformis Makino, etc.) having pharmaceutical action in the bark is immersed in a solvent (e.g. water, alcohol, etc.), heated, sap of the bark is eluted in the solvent and the sap-containing solvent is used as a Japanese herb medicine. For example, when the Japanese herb medicine by the method is added to warm water in a bathtub, body is warmed, skin has gloss, skin diseases are remedied, and effects on rheumatism, neuralgia, beriberi, etc., are obtained by pharmaceutical action thereof. The bark is directly immersed in warm water in a bathtub and the sap of the bark is eluted by temperature of the warm water to give the same effects. |
