PURPOSE:To obtain a hair cosmetic, containing ascorbic acid and diphosphoric acid ester of tocopherol, effective in preventing dandruff and depilation and having improved safety as well as stability. CONSTITUTION:A hair cosmetic containing a compound expressed by the formula (R<1> and R<2> are H or CH3) and/or a salt thereof in an amount of 0.01-10wt%, preferably 0.05-2wt% therein. The compound expressed by the formula is obtained by reacting tocopherol with a halophosphorylating agent in the presence of a deacidifying product with ascorbic acid having protected hydroxyl groups at the 5- and 6-positions and eliminating the protecting groups. The above- mentioned compound or salt thereof can be freely dissolved in water and oil and has a wider range of application than that of tocopherol, etc. |
