NEW MATERIAL:The 4,5-dihydro-6-(6-substituted-2-naphthyl)-3(2H)-pyridazinone derivative of formula I [R<1> is H, alkyl or phenyl; R<2> is H, alkyl or -(CH2)mR<3> (m is 1-3; R<3> is carboxy, ethoxycarbonyl, halogen, phenoxy or phenylthio) or aminocarbonylalkyl or formula II (n is 1-3; R<4> and R<5> are H, alkyl, ethoxycarbonylmethyl, phenyl, benzyl, 2-hydroxyethyl or pyridyl)]. EXAMPLE:4,5-Dihydro-6-(6-methoxy-2-naphthyl)-3(2H)-pyridazinone. USE:An antithrombotic agent having excellent drug activity and safety. PREPARATION:A compound of formula I wherein R<2> is H or CH3 can be pro duced e.g. by cycling a gamma-oxonaphthylbutyric acid derivative of formula III with hydrazine hydrate.
