Apparatus according to the patent comprising a display panel provided with a series of representation lamps whose lighting-up represents the exact time the various hooves of a horse are set down and with several signalling lamps supplied by special circuits each comprising a command contact at the disposal of the user and whose lighting-up is intended to represent specific actions on a horse for managing the latter. At least some of the contactors controlling the signalling lamps of the display panel are incorporated in a horse saddle 2 intended to receive the user of the apparatus and which can be placed for this purpose on a horse or on a trestle or on a model 1 representing a horse in life size. The contactors thus provided are associated with control members whose arrangement is such that each of these contactors is actuated by the effect of a specific action of the user either on the stirrups 12 attached to the saddle or on the flanks of this saddle or, alternatively on the rear of the seat of the latter. The saddle 2 thus arranged therefore forms part of the present apparatus whose display panel 3 may be installed on the support of this saddle in order to be monitored by the user of the apparatus or, alternatively, may be placed remotely in order to be monitored by a horse-riding instructor or teacher. This apparatus makes it possible to train either on a horse or on a model representing the latter. <IMAGE>
