PURPOSE:To easily change the display of commodities being reflected the sales condition with no error by using a shelf layout planning means, a display device put on the shelf and a means which transmits the shelf layout result to the display device. CONSTITUTION:A shelf layout planning means 103 obtains the shelf layout improvement result 104 to maximize the sales amount. A shelf layout improvement indication transmitting means 105 transmits the names and the quantity of commodities to be displayed on the shelves as well as the names, the quantity and the information on the locations of shift destinations of the commodities to be shifted to other shelves to each display device 106 set on the shelves based on the result 104 and the present shelf layout data 101. The device 106 shows the display change instructions based on the received contents. When the rearrangement of commodities is through, an indicating device 107 has input of 'end'. Thus the rearranging job of displayed commodities are simplified with no error.
