Assembly system allowing easy handling of a slat-type bed base. In both proposed cases, the principle essentially amounts to a manual fastening of the crossmember into the frame, by means of a pre-arranged dovetail joint. This device thus formed allows easy handling and storage. Finally, this system can be fitted on a frame which is capable of receiving a bed base with raisable head end.
