PURPOSE:To prevent corrosion cracking and to improve the durability and whole strength by welding discoid spacers having height corresponding to the interval between an inner and an outer walls covering the inner wall penetrating hole with small diameter and welding the opening edge part of the hole to the spacer. CONSTITUTION:Then inner wall 1 and the outer wall 2 of water cooling jacket for bloom are made of both low carbon stainless steel, and has construction arranging the discoid spacers 3 of low carbon stainless steel in the interval between both walls 1, 2. At first, the spacers are welded and joined with the inner face of outer wall 2 at the prescribed pattern. Next, at the time of making the double wall construction by combining with the outer wall 2, at the position of abutting on the spacer 3, the inner wall 1 penetrating holes 4 with a little smaller diameter than the diameter of spacer 3 is covered and the opening edge part of holes 4 in the inner wall 1 an the upper face of spacer 3 are welded and joined. Therefore, the interval of the inner and outer walls for spacer is suitably held and also both walls 1, 2 are firmly joined. And, as the low carbon stainless steel is used in all construction, stress corrosion cracking and grain boundary cracking are reduced. Further, by no bending working, ageing cracking is not developed. |
