A loudspeaker volume control circuit has an adjustable cross-over control between two loudspeakers, which have different bass-frequency reproduction characteristics. The attenuation of the bass frequency signals which are supplied to the loudspeaker having the better bass radiating characteristic is selectively deactivated even when the cross-over control is set to the other loudspeaker, so that low notes are always radiated to a sufficient extent.
