System installed on board ship for use in dewatering bottoms material discharged from heavy oil purifier comprises settling tank with steam heating coil to receive bottoms material from a tank and settling tank includes means to remove separated out water. The settling tank connects to evaporation vessel which is then connected to condenser with overflow pipe to condensate vessel which is connected at the lower region to ballast tank and includes upper region duct connected to suction side of vacuum pump which then discharges to pressurise the condenser. e system includes valve in line between tank and funnel for inspection of fluid flow. |
