PURPOSE:To prevent a painting material from penetrating in a screw hole and to impart waterproof effect, by welding a projection nut and injecting a sealer in the nut on the upper side thereof to close the screw hole. CONSTITUTION:A sheet metal part 6 having a hole is placed on a fixed electrode 5 having a guide pin 4 and a projection nut 3 equipped with a welding projection 7 is positioned so as to be mounted thereon. Since the length of the guide pin 4 penetrating in a crew hole 8 is shorter than the overall length of the screw hole 8, predetermined cavity is formed by the screw hole 8 and the guide pin 4. A sealer passage 10 is provided to a movable electrode 9 forming a pair along with the fixed electrode 5 and, after the movable electrode 9 falls to complete the welding of the nut 3, a soft and viscous sealer 12 is pressed to be injected in the screw hole 8 and the upper part of the screw hole 8 is brought to a closed state.
