PURPOSE:To increase recovering yield of isotopes by adhering selectively excited and ionized isotope atoms to a thin-film delivered out of a delivery roller, winding up the same, removing from a separating chamber and melting the film. CONSTITUTION:After the pressure inside a separating chamber 1 is reduced down to around 10<-3>Torr by a vacuum pump 12, Ba contained in a crucible 8 is heated by a heater 10 up to around 1,500 deg.C and vaporized. Ba thus vaporized is selectively excited by a die laser with around 550nm wave length to ionize 136 Ba only. At that time, a thin-film 6 is delivered out of a delivery roller 2 and electromagnetic field is applied to a cooling unit 7 while rotating the delivery roller 2 and a wind-up roller 4 to deposit 136 Ba only on the thin- film 6. On the other hand, after 138 Ba is deposited on a waste recovering plate 11, the deposited surface of the film 6 only is melted locally and 136 Ba only is separated and recovered.
