PURPOSE:To satisfactorily recover a remaining toner on an image carrier by providing a blade pressed to an image carrier, a brush which rubs the carrier, an elastic roll which is rotated while pressed to the carrier, and a destaticizing electrode. CONSTITUTION:The load of a blade 21 to an image carrier 10 is set to a prescribed value by a spring, and the blade 21 is pressed to and released from the carrier through a prescribed mechanism to scrape a remaining toner. Above the blade 21, a fur body 29 of a brush 22 is rotated in the direction opposite to the image carrier 10 to rub and remove the remaining toner stuck to the surface. A flicker 30 is arranged under the revolving shaft of the brush 22 and below the pressing point to the image carrier 10 in the rotation direction to beat the stuck toner out of the brush. A rubber elastic roll 23 is softly brought into contact with the carrier 10 above the brush, and a destaticizing electrode 27 is arranged under the roll to remove the electrostatic charge to the remaining toner. The blade 21, the brush 22, and the roll 23 are surrounded with plates or walls as prescribed and air is discharged. By this constitution, the remaining toner on the rotating image carrier is effectively recovered and is not scattered out of the device.
