PURPOSE:To reduce the occurrence of frictional loss and noise by a method in which each hammer is independently controlled in terms of locking and unlocking, and in the locked state, a hammer locker is softly contacted with the hammer. CONSTITUTION:To lock hammers 16 separately, a hammer locker 36 to couple with each lock end 16b is provided and pushed toward counterclock direction by a spring 42. A releasing arm 36b is coupled with the rocking plate 34 of an electromagnetic means 30. After application of printing command to a solenoid 32 is released, each hammer locker 36 operates synergistically with a corresponding hammer 16 separately to eliminate the frictional loss and noise of the printer. The riding portion 200 of a digit selection cam 20, having a reset facd 200a and a return face 200b, serves to make the hammer 16 softly contact with the hammer locker 36 after resetting, thereby reducing noise. |
