PURPOSE:To speed up pattern matching processing by executing processing for setting a detecting pattern for pattern matching processing in an image processor independently of a CPU. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 21, an image input device 22, a binarizing circuit 23, image memories 24-26, and an image processor 27 are connected to a system bus 28 supplied when the CPU 21 controls respective parts. The circuit 23, the memories 24-26 and the image processor 27 are also connected to an image bus 29 to be applied to the transfer of image data. The processing for setting the detecting pattern for pattern matching processing in the processor 27 is executed independently of the CPU 21. |
