PURPOSE:To obtain a mask for a partial plating device capable of surely preventing halation and consists of a clad electrode, by integrally laminating both an insulator having a form capable of abutting on a work and an electrical conductor and boring a through-hole for presetting a region to be plated. CONSTITUTION:A through-hole 5 for presetting a region to be plated is bored to an insulator 3 having about 10mum-2mm material thickness (t) which is a heat resistance- and chemical resistance-enriched insulating material such as ceramic and synthetic resin and is molded to a shape capable of abutting on a work 1. On the other hand, same through-hole 6 as the above-mentioned insulator 3 is bored to an electrical conductor 4 consisting of a metal foil such as a stainless foil which is enriched in heat resistance, chemical resistance and corrosion resistance. These insulator 3 and electrical conductor 4 are laminated by thermal press-fitting or the like, thereby a mask 2 for a partial plating device consisting of a structure laminated with an electrode wherein a work 1 and the electrical conductor 4 are made to electrodes respectively is obtained. The distance between both electrodes is made near and the substitution of plating liquid is promoted by making the mask 2 to the above-mentioned structure, therefore halation is surely prevented.
