PURPOSE:To prevent the useless step back of a car washer body by providing a switch which is operated at the time of prohibiting said car washer body from carrying out step-back. CONSTITUTION:A sonic sensor 3, an upper brush 4, a side brush 5, etc. are built in a car washer body 11 and, further, a control device 15 having an operating face 14 in the front of the car washer body 11 is provided in it. The control device 15 inputs the outputs of the sonic sensor 3 and a step-back off switch 17 into a control part 20 in which a cleaning process having a step-back function is incorporated, via input parts 18, 19, and makes judgment and operation from the inputted outputs of the sonic sensor 3 and the condition of the step-back off switch 17, to control the longitudinally travelable car washer body 11 and the side brush 5, etc. via output parts 21, 22.
