An electromagnetic energy seal of a microwave oven comprising a seal plate (6) fixed on the inner wall of a door frame (3) of the oven and adapted to form an opening (7). From the upper end of the outer wall of door frame, an inwardly bent member (9) is extended. And also, slits (10) with a uniform width are formed in the bent member at period intervals in which the electric field of the electromagnetic energy is maximum. By this construction, the proceeding of the electromagnetic energy can be most effectively interrupted. Dimensions of the seal given in terms of the wavelength of the microwaves used are also specified. <IMAGE>
