Such a rechargeable radiation therapy device offers the advantage that the radiation protection container simultaneously forms part of a system with which one or more sources can successively be extended into different treatment channels. At the same time, however, it is possible to move sources out into treatment channels independently of one another. This creates all the prerequisites for achieving irradiation of an anatomically complex target volume.
