PURPOSE:To make operation easy by inputting function when a common key to be used for both character input and function input is depressed at first, or inputting a character when a space key or the common key is depressed. CONSTITUTION:A data processor 1 is constituted of a keyboard 2, a microcomputer 3 for receiving input data from the keyboard 2 and executing various processing, and a display device 4. The keyboard 2 is constituted of respective keys to be used for inputting alphabets and various functions corresponding to the alphabets, a specific function key, a space key, etc., and function names to be used in common are displayed on the keys to be used in common. The processor 1 is constituted of a device mixing the specific function with general functions. When a common key is depressed at first, the function of the key is inputted and then a character is inputted by depressing the key successively.
