The invention relates to a printing device for alphanumerical and analog recording, having at least one printing tip and one actuating device for the printing tip, the intention being for said printing tip to be arranged so as to be transversely displaceable. The masses to be moved are to be reduced in such devices. This is achieved in that the device has, over the entire displacement width, a magnetic coil stretched to an appropriate length with an iron core as the actuating device, which is assigned a bearing part which interacts with the printing tip and can be actuated by magnetism, the coil with the core being arranged such that the gap between the core and the bearing part is reduced in the case of actuation.
