PURPOSE:To reduce a man-hour for cutting of a scroll member, and also to improve its strength by inserting a metallic base material heated to a high temperature into a die, pressing it, executing a hot enclosed forging, deforming plastically the base material, and forming as one body a scroll-like lap and an end plate part. CONSTITUTION:When a machined or cut round base material 10 is heated by a heating furnace and inserted into a base material holder 14, inside and outside punches 11, 12 descend, and the base material 10 is detained to an enclosed state. Subsequently, only the inside punch further descends, the heated round base material 10 of the lower surface of the inside punch 11 flows plastically, flows through a space part of a forward extruding die 15, and a scroll-like lap 19 is formed. When the inside punch 11 completes an indentation of a prescribed quantity, the inside and outside punches 11, 12 lift, and simultaneously, a knockout pin 17 is pushed up, one-piece formed part of the scroll-like lap 19 and the end plate 20 are pushed upward, and the formed part are taken out. |
