PURPOSE:To enable double-side printing to be performed with a simple construction, by performing double-side printing by introducing paper into a paper passage on one side of a developing unit, printing on one side of the paper, then introducing the paper into a paper passage on the other side of the developing unit without reversing the paper, and printing on the other side of the paper. CONSTITUTION:Paper P is introduced into a paper passage 14A, and a toner image is transferred to the upper side of the paper P by an electrophotographic process unit 19. When the trailing end of the paper P reaches a position between heated rolls 43 in a fixing device 42 and fixation of a toner T is finished, a sensor detects this condition, and both of the rolls 43, 45A, feeding rollers 13, 13 and a paper-supplying roller 12 are reversely rotated, whereby the paper P is returned from the paper passage 14A into a paper-supplying tray 10. The roller 12 is driven to rotate forward to feed the paper P, printed on the upper side thereof, into the paper passage 14B, and printing on the lower side of the paper P is performed by an electrophotographic process in the same manner as in one-side printing. |
