PURPOSE:To prevent recording quality from being lowered when an ink sheet is used multiple times, by a method wherein heating members for making uniform ink density by heating an ink sheet discharged on completion of thermal transfer are provided on both sides of a thermal head. CONSTITUTION:A heating roll 8 is provided on the left side of the thermal head 4 in the condition of being pressed against the ink sheet 1, and incorporates a heat source such as a heater. Similarly, a heating roll 9 is provided on the right side of the head 1 in the condition of being pressed against the ink sheet 1, and incorporates a heat source such as a heater. When recording by moving the ink sheet 1 in the direction of an arrow A, an electric current is passed to the heat source for the roll 9 to heat the roll 9. Similarly, when recording by moving the sheet 1 in the direction of an arrow A', an electric current is passed to the heat source for the roll 8 to heat the roll 8. Accordingly, since the ink sheet is heated by the heating member so that printed density is made to be uniform, a uniform recorded density can be obtained each time of recording even when the ink sheet is repeatedly used multiple times, and recording quality is enhanced. |
