PURPOSE:To execute rapid measures by confirming a slip, by comparing revolutional quantity of a driving roller drawing a cast slab with that of a following roller guide-supporting the cast slab, alarming based on this compared result and changing the pressing force for at least one side in both rollers by operating. CONSTITUTION:The signals in accordance with each revolutional quantity of the pinch roller 4 and guide roller 6 are always outputted from a pulse generators 36, 38. And, based on the signals, the revolutional quantities of pinch roller 4 and guide roller 6 are always compared by a comparator 40. Under this condition, in case the slip occurs between the pinch roller 4 and the cast slab 8, the difference between the revolutional quantities of both rollers 4, 6 is developed. When the difference is become to out of the permissible range, the alarm 42 is sounded. When the operator confirms this alarm, a pressing force changing mechanism is operated by an operating part and the pressing force of pinch roller 4 to the cast slab 8 is strengthened or the pressing force of guide roller 6 to the cast slab 8 is weakened, to eliminate the slip.
