PURPOSE:To prevent a crack generated from a letter display position, by forming the letters with a smooth letter main body portion and a coarse waxed pattern portion, and making no difference of level between the both portions, in a tire with the side on which a letter display is formed integrally. CONSTITUTION:The letter main body such as figurs to show the tire size, English letters, and marks is formed in a smooth surface, while a satin pattern around the letters is formed in a ground 2 of a coarse surface. And no difference in level is formed practically at the borders between the letter main body 1 at the ground 2. The forming metal mould is made by a mirror-like finishing at the surface responding to the letter main body 1 while by a satin finishing at the surface responding to the ground 2. In such a composition, troubles such as a crack from the letter display position can be prevented from the generation.
