COMMAND VALUE CALCULATION METHOD FOR VARIABLE SPEED PUMPING-UP GENERATOR SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To reduce the capacity of a cycloconverter by altering a target speed in case that the target speed is near a zero slip at the time of AFC operation of generating and pumping-up and passing it through the vicinity of the zero slip in a short time. CONSTITUTION:A command value calculator 15 calculates the opening command value HV and a target speed N0 of a guide vane in accordance with a static head H and an output command P0. A target speed controller 29 uses as the target speed the value N0 when the value N0 is out of an inhibiting zone and lower or upper limit value when in the inhibiting zone. A phase angle calculator 116 calculates the phase angle of a secondary winding on the basis of effective power, output command P0, target speed and the speed N, and applies it to a setter 17. Phase shifters 23a-23c excite a-, b-and c-phases in accordance with the excitation amount set by the setter 17. Thus, the capacity of a cycloconverter can be reduced.
