PURPOSE:To facilitate fixing operation by forming a stepped hole as the center hole of a ferrule through which an optical fiber is run, and forming the part nearby the inner peripheral surface of a large-diameter hole by using resin which can be welded with an ultrasonic wave and forming plural slits which which extend in the direction of the axis. CONSTITUTION:The ferrule 31 is formed of the resin which can be welded with the ultrasonic wave and has the stepped hole 33 consisting of the large- diameter part 33a and a small-diameter hole 33b therein. The plural slits 36 which extend in the direction of the axis of the center hole 33 are formed in the ferrule part 37 which constitutes the large-diameter part 33a. A secondary coating 7 is arranged on an optical fiber code 5' in use outside an optical fiber 9 and the coating 7 is formed of the resin which can be welded with the ultrasonic wave. Thus, both can be fixed in a short time. |
