In this apparatus, a light-protected capacitor connected to a low direct voltage is provided, the parameters of which are selected in such a manner that the charged capacitor discharges under the influence of a radioactive radiation. The indicating apparatus according to the invention can be produced inexpensively and requires little space so that it can be installed, for example, in a wristwatch or in another apparatus. It is primarily used for emitting an alarm signal when the radioactive radiation exceeds a predetermined level.
