PURPOSE:To take a photograph wherein a main subject is in focus very easily by selecting a range finding position optionally in a photographic range and adjusting the focus to a necessary place with optional composition. CONSTITUTION:An area sensor 7 formed by arranging many detecting elements such as CCDs successively in two dimensions and a separator lens plate 75 formed by providing many groups of separator lenses successively on a plane are provided to perform range finding operation as to plural positions. For example, when the range of the center part is measured, the detecting element part 73a of the sensor 7 and a group 75a of lenses on the lens plate 75 operate in a pair as an automatic focusing AF sensor and a detecting element group 73b and a lens group 75b pair off to constitute an AF sensor. When the focus is adjusted to a necessary position with optional composition, a CPU 4 selects lead terminals of the detecting element among leads 74X and 74Y of the sensor 7 according to the input of an input device 1 and detection signals are inputted to perform the distance measurement; and the AF system is put in operation to take a picture where a main subject is put in focus very easily. |
