PURPOSE:To improve bendability, by subjecting a cold-rolled zirconium sheet to annealing at the prescribed temp. lower than that in the conventional method. CONSTITUTION:A zirconium slab is passed through, e.g., a hot rolling stage, a soft annealing stage, and a descaling stage such as picking, etc., which is then subjected to cold rolling. The resulting cold-rolled stock is annealed at 500-630 deg.C. In this way, the zirconium sheet excellent in bending workability can be obtained.
