PURPOSE:To improve the operability of a shift lever by generating the overdrive position of an automatic transmission on its orbit in the shift direction of the shift lever so as to feel the overdrive position as the operation resistance of the shift lever. CONSTITUTION:A cam plate 32 in the diameter direction of a shift lever 2 is integrally fixed at a position above the upper end of the pin guide groove 31 of the shift lever 2, and both end portions of this cam plate 32 are bent with adequate inclination in the vehicle width direction. An overdrive switch 30 is provided with a roller 34 at the tip of a rod 33 switching contact points and set to ON when the roller 34 rides on the plane portion of the cam plate 32 and to OFF otherwise. A display unit to display the OD position is provided on the console box of the shift lever 2 or an instrument panel to confirm the overdrive position. |
