PURPOSE:To take a microphotograph effectively by automatic document feeding by controlling respective devices according to a set mode and performing continuous or noncontinuous photography. CONSTITUTION:Many documents D are fed, one by one, by a feeder C to a specific position and discharged successively by a discharging device 95 to a specific position. Consequently, the many documents are positioned, one by one, at the specific position and images of the documents sent to this position are photographed by a photographing device, so the continuous photography of the many documents is performed automatically. Then, a microcomputer 200 controls a series of the operations of the feeder C, discharging device 95, and photographing device and this control is performed according to the continuous and noncontinuous modes set by a mode setting device. Then, the many documents are fed, photographed, and discharged, one by one, or in page units.
