The invention relates to a semi-active guidance method for missiles having a target homing head, the target being illuminated from a ground station by means of a laser beam which is locked to the target, the target direction from the missile being determined from the measurement of the laser radiation scattered back from the target to the missile homing head, and being used for guidance of the missile, the target range being entered automatically into the passive target homing head, without any dedicated range finding device, for missile guidance.
