PURPOSE:To provide an effective elimination of unbalanced distribution of temperature of air in a room by a method wherein a circulator for circulating interior air heated by a stove and the like is provided with a duct for blowing air accumulated at a lower part of the room out of an upper part of the room. CONSTITUTION:A circulator is arranged such that a blowing port 1 is arranged at an upper part of an interior of a room and is comprised of a duct 3 having a suction port 2 arranged at a lower part of the room and a fan 4 for blowing out air within the duct 3. A length of the duct 3 is extended or retracted in response to a space height of the room. When this circulator is installed within the room and operated, air within the duct 3 is blown toward the upper part from the blowing port 1 under operation of a fan 4. Then, an air pressure within the duct 3 is decreased, and cold air having a heavy specific weight in the accumulated cold air layer at the lower part of the room is sucked into the duct 3 through the blowing port 2. This action is continued, the cold air is blown from the upper part of the room and gradually mixed with the air in the warm layer.
