PURPOSE:To prevent the release of absence transfer carelessly by allowing the release of absence transfer to be executed even from an extension at transfer destination extension, releasing the transfer when an absence transfer setting party does not return the extension of transfer destination and adding an absence transfer release identification number. CONSTITUTION:In setting absence transfer in an absence transfer sender extension 2, a special number setting absence transfer, a number of an absence transfer sender extension 3 and a release identification number are dialed. In this case, a release identification number is stored in a storage memory 7 corresponding to the location of accommodating the absence transfer sender and the absence transfer destination extension number 6 is stored in a storage memory 8. In releasing the absence transfer, the release at the absence transfer sender is conducted conventionally. In case of the release in the absence transfer destination extension 3, the special number at absence transfer release, the absence transfer sender extension number and release identification number are dialed and the accommodated location of the set extension is read from the absence transfer sender extension number by a central processing unit to read the release identification number 4 of the storage memory 7 corresponding to the absence transfer sender accommodation and when the number is coincident with the dialed number, the memory is cleared and the absence transfer is released.
