PURPOSE:To facilitate time measurement, by transmitting a radio wave manually or automatically to stop measurement after it is started by pressing a start button of a stop watch. CONSTITUTION:At the start, a start button of a stop watch A carried by a skier is pressed to start measurement. At the goal, the skier presses a stop button mounted on a head of a stock grip B to stop the measurement with the stop watch A by transmitting a measurement stopping radio wave 8. Otherwise, a radio wave is radiated onto a goal line 7' from a transmitter C and the moment the skier reaches the goal, the reflection of the radio wave is sensed to stop the measurement by emitting the radio wave 8 for stopping the measurement of the stop watch A. This eliminates the need for setting up large-scale equipment thereby enabling a time measurement with a small and light device.
