PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of operation by setting a voltage applied to an electrode of a photodetector within a voltage range at which the defective operation due to leakage current is prevented so as to improve the yield of products. CONSTITUTION:A voltage being a division of a voltage of a -5V power supply line 2 by a resistance voltage divider 4 being a voltage setting circuit is applied to a common electrode 1. In applying a voltage of -2V to a common electrode 1, normal operation is applied without any difference from that of other photodetectors D1-Dn in reading black and white pictures.
