PURPOSE:To allow a caller to receive a callback automatically at a visiting place by applying the callback to a telephone set at the visiting place not by the original seat when a destination call is idle when the caller encounters the busy state of the destination and moves to the other place while leaving one's own seat. CONSTITUTION:A caller A dials a telephone number (b) of an opposite destination telephone set 12 from a telephone set 11 of one's own seat to make a phone call to a destination B. The caller A listens to a busy tone 31 because of talking with the 3rd party C. Then the caller A dials an automatic callback special number (a) and a visiting place telephone number (d) to obtain automatic callback at the visiting place because the caller A leaves the seat and restores the handset of the telephone set 11 of one's own seat. A register 22 of a private branch of exchange receives the special number (a) and the dial signal of the telephone number (d) of the visiting place and sends it to a processor 23. The processor 23 supervises the opposite party B in the busy state and when it is detected the destination B finishes the talking with the 3rd party C and idle, the telephone set 14 at the visiting place D for the caller A and the destination telephone set 12 are called, and an exchange switch 21 is driven to set a channel by the response of the telephone sets 14 and 12.
