A digging apparatus, for example for digging ditches or the like, with a boom 18, 20 which carries an endless chain 26. The chain is provided with digging elements 28 which are intended to loosen soil and lift the loosened soil to the ground surface. The apparatus is intended to be arranged on existing machinery, such as an excavator, a tractor or the like. Arranged next to the boom 18, 20 with the endless chain 26 and the digging elements 28 there is a support foot 38 running essentially parallel to the boom. The support foot 38 is connected at the top to the boom and extends to the lower edge of the boom to the depth of the digging and is arranged to follow the boom 18, 20 in the direction of digging and to support and stabilize the digging apparatus on the bottom of the excavated ditch. <IMAGE> |
