PURPOSE:To easily perform film cutting work, by constituting a film cutting mechanism with a shaft part which fixes a cutter to cut a film, an elastic resiliency member which presses the shaft part in a direction of shaft center, a locking plate constituted lockingly/unlockingly to the shaft part, and an operating member which operates the connecting plate. CONSTITUTION:A camera incorporates the film cutting mechanism provided with the cutter 14 to cut the film 8, the shaft part 16 which fixes the cutter 14, the elastic resiliency member 17 which presses the shaft part 16 in the direction of shaft center, the locking plate 19 constituted lockingly/unlockingly to the shaft part 16, and the operating member 20 which operates the locking plate 19. In such constitution, the shaft part 16 is connected to the locking plate 19 in an ordinary film feeding operation, and the cutter 14 is retreated from a film path. And by separating the locking plate 19 from the shaft part 16 by operating the operating member 20, the shaft part is moved impulsively in the direction of shaft center by the pressing force of the elastic resiliency member 17. Therefore, a cut is formed on the edge of the film with the cutter 14 fixed on the shaft part 16 without deforming the film, thereby, the cutting work of the film 8 can be performed smoothly.
