PURPOSE:To correctly transfer a transfer body onto a transport passage and facilitate changing the traveling order of the transfer body by instaling a transfer device for transferring the transfer body on the transport passage contiguously to the transport passage. CONSTITUTION:A desired transfer body C which travels on a transport passage A is stopped at a constant position where a suspending rod 12 is in waiting, by turning-OFF a linear motor. When the turning arm 11 and the supporting rod 12 are raised by operating an elevator 8, the hook part 62 of a base board 6 is hooked by a hook 12a and supported, and the whole transfer body is suspended. When a turning machine g is driven, the turning arm 11 and the suspending rod 12 are transferred onto a transport passage B from the transport passage A, and the turning is suspended, and when the suspension rod 12 is lowered, the transfer body C is transferred onto the transport passage B. When the compressed air is jetted from the nozzles 1a and 2a on the transport passage B, the transfer body C is floated up, and the transferred transfer body is traveled on the transport passage B by driving the linear motor.
