PURPOSE:To permit the smooth assortment with correct attitude by operating an assorting cylinder by the signals of the article detectors installed onto a carry-in side transport machine and the first and second carry-out side transport machines and operating an assorting arm and a clamp, in the captioned device for crankshaft, etc. CONSTITUTION:A work is transported, keeping an assorting arm 3, clamp 8, and an assorting cylinder 30 in the original state. When a detector 14 detects the work and a signal S0 is input into a controller 15, said controller 15 operates a solenoid valve 21 and a clamping cylinder 5, and the work is held by the clamp 8. Then, a fixed side cylinder 5 is contracted. and the assorting arm 3 is turned to the first carry-out conveyor 11 side by the assorting cylinder 30, and the clamp 8 is released. When the drop of the work is detected by a detector 16, the carry out conveyor 11 is driven, and the assorting cyliner 30 restores the original position, and the next work is transferred onto the second carry-out conveyor 2. Therefore, the smooth assorment with correct attitude is permitted.
