PURPOSE:To send securely following sheets into a resupply path and prevent pages from replacement by locating the rear end edge of a sheet material standing by in the resupply path behind the front end edge of the following sheet material. CONSTITUTION:A first transfer material sent into an intermediate tray 39 is previously supplied before the following second sheet material is sent into the intermediate tray 39. When the rear end edge of the first transfer material is detected by a sensor 47, the first transfer material is stopped as the rear end edge is left in the intermediate tray 39. Then, the second transfer material is sent such that it is stopped with the rear end edge being located in front of the rear end edge of the first transfer material. Thus, after the completion of transfer of the first surface, the rear end edge clamped by a fourth transfer rollers 37 is sent into an image forming section 21 so that the transfer of the second surface is carried out again from the first transfer material. |
