PURPOSE:To simply operate a double-sided copy and eliminate operational misses by providing an original judging means for judging the sequence of even or odd number of originals introduced into an original reading section and an original absence detecting means for detecting the absence of next original. CONSTITUTION:An main body 100, upon receiving a copy start signal, starts a well-known copy operation to copy a set number of copies. Then, transfer papers are stored on an intermediate tray 59 of a double-sided unit. When a series of copy operations are completed, the main body 100 judges the signal of original sensor 302 and copies the next original when the next original is present. In other words, when the copying of the back of transfer paper is judged to be necessary, the back is copied, and the transfer paper having double sides copied is discharged from the main body 100 to a sorter 400. When the final original is of even number one, the double-sided copying of transfer paper is completed, while the final copy having one side copied is discharged if the final original is of odd number one. |
