PURPOSE:To obtain an attractive plated steel sheet by providing a molten metal flow-generating means to the position in the vicinity of a band steel passing through a hot dip metal coating bath and by allowing the molten metal to collide with the band steel over the overall width so as to improve adhesive strength of plating. CONSTITUTION:A molten metal flow-generating means 7 is provided to a hot dip metal coating treatment equipment for a band steel 1 consisting of a hot dip metal coating bath, a sink roll 4, and a coating weight-control means 6. Then, in a hot dip metal coating bath 3, the molten metal flow is allowed to collide with the band steel 1 over the overall width of the band steel 1.
